Legal Woes

  • Structables: Private frontend for Instructables.com (structables.private.coffee)
  • Autodesk accused us of “fraud and phishing activity”, in breach of Austrian law and our Terms of Service
  • Later backed down and alleged copyright infringement instead
  • We removed the service to avoid legal costs, but are exploring options to bring it back (renamed, redesigned)

Future Direction

  • Host more services on our own infrastructure over time
  • Evaluate datacenters around Graz
  • Constraint: upfront hardware cost for expansion

  • Status: Proposal submitted to netidee; denied.
  • Theory: Not "tangible" enough (e.g. no prototype yet)
